Vinod Weerasinghe emerged victorious in the Gold Division 15-17+ age group of the Prima Regional Junior Open Championship which was worked off in Nuwara Eliya recently.
Taniya Minel emerged second with Armand Caldera following in third.
In the Silver Division age group of 12-14+, Yevin Samarartne displayed great skill to overcome another rising star Kayla Perera to win by one stroke over the two rounds. Nirekh Tejwani beat Danushan by one stroke to win in the Bronze Division, well ahead of the rest of the field. The Bronze Division was worked off over two rounds of 13 holes per round.
N.W.G. Shanal Binushka was the winner in the Copper Division 9 & Under age group, beating the runner-up by 12 strokes. The two round aggregate over nine holes of 93 was very impressive.
