Udaya Balasuriya appointed Kandy trustee

Former Trinity second rower and leading businessman Udaya Balasuriya was appointed as the trustee of Kandy at the recently concluded meeting. 

Meanwhile, his schoolmate and former Trinity skipper (1952-53) Dharmasiri Madugalle was appointed the patron of the club.   

Kandy President Nihal Ratwatte said: “These two gentlemen have rendered yeoman service to the club for decades. Madugalle is the oldest living player and captain of the Kandy Sports Club. He is also the oldest living life member, President and Patron of the upcountry club. Udaya too contributed immensely through his leadership at Kandy as the President two years ago.”
