Thomians to defend school Sevens

The schools rugby season will come to an end this Sunday with the Sri Lanka Schools Under-20 Sevens rugby tournament at the racecourse rugby grounds.

The first day’s play will kick off today at 8.00 a.m. at the same venue. In total 31 teams will battle it out for supremacy with today’s matches being group stage encounters and the knockout encounters being worked off tomorrow. The tournament will be played for the Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield trophies.
