The Annual Thomian Inter-Collegiate Soft Ball Cricket Sixes, for the Old Boys, organised by the STC Mount Lavinia Class of 1990, will be held on Saturday 4 August at the Havelocks Sports Club Grounds Colombo 5.
This year too, the event will be a day/night tournament commencing at 10a.m.
The cricket 6’s has become a resounding success and a most looked-forward-to event by all old Thomians. The past four competitions attracted a sell-out 32 old boy teams, from class groups ranging from the 1970s to 2009 which included Thomians from Mt. Lavinia, Prep – Kollupitiya, Guruthalawa and Bandarawela attracting over 2,000 old boys, family members, well-wishers and other spectators who add glamour and colour to these proceedings.
Similar to previous years’ festivities the Carnival-like atmosphere will prevail with unlimited entertainment in true Thomian spirit. With a Live Band will revving up the music throughout the day (in addition to the Papares), delicious food and spirits on offer, the event, as usual, will be a great party for the whole family.
Like in the last edition, the Senior Thomian Icons will play for the Grand Masters Trophy and the rest, for the Class of 90 Challenge Trophy.
The organisers may be able to accommodate a few more teams. For details call Vasantha Wanige on 0759793632 to register a team.
