Team BKMS 1 held sway at the third round of the Six-hour Endurance Karting Championship worked off at the Sri Lanka Karting Circuit in Bandaragama with a total of 552 laps. The victorious BKMS 1 team was led by Bryan Perera of the famed ‘Perera family’ and comprised Kevin Perera and Ushan Perera apart from the pit crew and the team manager.
Team Blue Pepper was just one lap behind BKMS 1, finishing second with 551 laps while Team SLR Motorsports gave them a good fight, completing 550 laps at the end of six hours.
The picturesque karting circuit was abuzz with almost equally talented young drivers behind the steering wheels trying to manoeuvre their little vehicles through sharp corners, thrilling the crowds and winning applause and cheers.
The RHC Racing team with 548 laps were placed fourth, followed by Thunderbolt Racing (547 laps) and Gunners (544 laps) who finished fifth and sixth respectively.
The Raptor 1 – Eagles who won the previous leg of the event did not compete in round three, therefore the battle to win the four-leg series has warmed up. Team BKMS Racing came in third completing 569 laps at the second leg.
Known as the biggest of its kind, the Formula-One style Six-hour Endurance Karting Championship is organised by the Asian Motor Racing Club, Single Seater Formula Motorsports Association and Sri Lanka Karting Circuit, owned and managed by David Pieris Automobiles Ltd.
The event was sponsored by Sampath Bank and Namal Trust Fund while TNL Radio, The Island and Divaina were the media sponsors.

2nd place: Blue Pepper – 551 laps
3rd place: SLR Motor sports – 550 laps
4th place: RHC Racing – 548 laps
5th place: Thunderbolt Racing – 547 laps
