Talawakele wins Plantations Rugby 7s

Talawakele Plantation won the Cup Championship at the annual Inter-Plantation Rugby Sevens, which took place at Dikoya recently.

In the Cup finals Talawakele beat Maskeliya Plantation 26-17. This tournament was organised by DMCC Sports Club. Malwatte Plantation won the Plate Championship beating Elpitiya Plantation 33-7 and in the Bowl segment Pussellawa Plantation beat Kelani Valley Plantation 33-0.

T. Balasooriya of Talawakele Plantation was adjudged the player of the tournament.
