Sumitomo Chemicals sponsors July Monthly Medal Golf Tournament 2015

'The recently-concluded July Monthly Medal Golf Tournament 2015 was an immense success, which was organised by the RCGC with joint sponsorship from Suren Cooke Agencies and Sumitomo Chemicals – two established companies in the pest management industry.

The tournament was a roaring success with more than 200 entries. There were several renowned golfers present at the event – with the overall winner going to Adrian Bakelmun, with a nett score of 67. The winner was awarded a golfing holiday to Thailand, one of the famous destinations for an elite game of golf. Other winners  who topped each Division – Kris Krisnarajah (Division A), Adrian Bakelmun (Division B), Roshan Makalanda (Division C), D. Serasinghe (Seniors) and S. O. Im (Masters).

The event also marked and feted the 30-year anniversary of Suren Cooke Agencies with Sumitomo Chemicals celebrating the 100th year in operation. In addition, both companies joined hands to launch the newest product – Xterm Termite Baiting System – the novel method to eradicate termites, in a safer and more effective manner.

The award ceremony was well attended, where accolades were distributed by the General Manager of Sumitomo Chemicals T. Karino, who visited for the celebration and launch of their new product – Xterm. Thereafter, the ceremony was followed by a colourful cocktail party.
