Standard Chartered Bank recently announced their association with the Asia Cup 2012 as the official partners for the series. The Asia Cup is a biennial cricket tournament featuring the top four cricket teams in Asia; India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
Speaking on the same, Sumeet Singla, Regional Head, Corporate Affairs, India and South Asia said, “Since the tournament covers India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, it acts as a natural fit for us to be one of the sponsors of the event as South Asia is a key strategic market for the Group. Cricket is a widely followed sport in the subcontinent and the Asia Cup gives us a great platform to engage with our clients, customers, stakeholders and staff.”
Standard Chartered Sri Lanka extended its proud association with the Asia Cup 2012 by sponsoring 6 Sri Lankans with a complete package to witness some of key matches played in Bangladesh. The 6 winners will receive return air tickets, hotel accommodation and hospitality tickets at the stadium to watch the Sri Lanka matches played against India and Pakistan. In addition two employees of Standard Chartered Sri Lanka will witness the finals of Asia Cup 2012, on a fully sponsored tour.
