The SLT Katukurunda Motor Races which was jointly organised by the Asian Motor Racing Club and the Sri Lankan Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) was successfully held on Sunday, 26 July at the Air Force base, Katukurunda.
The motor racing championships comprised of a total of 21 events. Under the overall championship, the title of Overall Best Rider went to Pramuka Sesath while the title of Overall Best Driver was secured by Ashan Silva.
This is one of the fastest motor races in the country, which gives explanation and meaning to SLT’s interest in associating with the race. Coming upon the heels of a series of “Speed-up with SLT” campaigns that have been making their way across the country, the sponsorship of this motor race helps to drive home the point of “Speed-up with SLT”.
