Sri Lanka departs for 13th West Asia Baseball Cup in Pakistan

The Sri Lanka national baseball team with Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera before they left the country yesterday to take part in the 13th West Asia Baseball Cup to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan from 24 February-2 March. SLABSA Vice President Mayantha Dissanayake, Delegation Head Manoj Fernando, Team Manager Dinesh Perera, Selection Committee Chairman Subash Gunasinghe and officials of the Sports Ministry were present. Akalanka Ranasinghe is the Captain of the team while Sameera Rathnayake is its Vice Captain. Malindu Hewage, Hideki Koyama and Kazuya Yagi are the coaches. India, Iran, Iraq, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan will take part in the tournament
