Sri Lanka Cricket said yesterday that Paul Farbrace met with SLC officials in furtherance of his keenness to become coach of the national team.
SLC committee headed by Chairman of the Cricket Committee Ranjith Feranando, had detailed discussions with Farbrace pertaining to the position of head coach of the Sri Lankan national team.
SLC Vice President Mohan De Silva, Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga, Treasurer Nuski Mohamed, CEO Ashley De Silva and Head of Coaching Jerome Jayaratne joined Fernando for the meeting.
“A further round of talks is scheduled for next week between Farbrace and SLC. A final decision on the appointment of the National Head Coach will be made later,” SLC said in a statement.
