Sri Lanka remained unbeaten in the HSBC Asian5Nations Division I rugby tournament as they secured a comprehensive 45-7 win against Thailand at Havelock Park yesterday. Sri Lanka led by 28-nil at half time.
The winners who also earned bonus points scored from six tries, three conversions and three penalties. Thailand who made a late retaliation scored from a solitary converted try. On Sunday Sri Lanka beat Chinese Taipei by 39-8 whilst new entrants Thailand shocked big boys Kazakhstan to clinch the curtain raiser game of Asian5Nations Division I rugby tournament by a margin of 33-10.
