After bringing home the championship for NOLIMIT at the Speed 2011 racing series in his MINI 1000, Azlie Irshad of Team FMF will once again race for NOLIMIT at the Colombo Night Race on December 17.
Competing in the hotly contested Formula McLarens 1300 event, The FMF NOLIMIT team is geared up for another brilliant performance.
“At NOLIMIT we believe in fostering talent and sponsoring the best.
The Colombo Night Races is a landmark sporting event in the country that is bound to be a great success,” said Akeel Latiff, Marketing Manager NOLIMIT.
The Formula McLarens 1300 is predicted to be a crowd puller on Saturday’s star studded event with some of the country’s top racing names competing against each other.
“Participating in the country’s most high profile racing event with NOLIMIT is a rare opportunity and I’m really excited about it. You need to have proper planning, skill and stamina to excel in the formulas. I hope I can qualify up there with the leaders and have a good finish at the Colombo night race,” said Azlie.
“ NOLIMIT has from the beginning given us the freedom to do things our way and probably that’s what’s brought out the best in Team FMF NOLIMIT at the Speed 2011 championship. While I went on to clinch the championship, my team mate Zulfi sealed the runner up spot in true grit and style in the same event. All this in our rookie year - that’s any race team’s dream right there!”
The Colombo Night Race is an event that will attract some of the best national and international talent and is predicted to be the most fiercely contested racing events in Sri Lankan history.
