Shalindra helps MAS Active beat Eagle Logistics in MCA “E” division 30 Over League Tournament

The new kid on the block at MAS Active “C” Shalindra Perera scored a well compiled, unbeaten century (103 not out in 102 balls, inclusive of four sixes and eight fours), as he carried his team to a handsome 74 runs win over Eagle Logistics in the ongoing 15th David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored, “DPGC” Challenge Trophy, MCA “E” division 30 Over League Tournament 2017, continued over the weekend. 

Shalindra Perera was associated in a 121 runs stand for the 4th wicket in 62 balls with Chinthaka Egodage (50); Perera, playing first time for MAS Active, had scored 86 runs Vs. CW Mackie in his earlier game 

Week-end’s other centurion was Finlays Opening batsman, Inesh Fernando, who scored a 90 ball, 124 runs, inclusive of 20 hits to ropes Vs. Noyon Lanka ; Inesh Fernando was engaged in a quick-fire opening stand of 105 runs in 65 balls with Kosala Dadigamuwa (53) ; Finlays, thus won the match by a massive margin of 114 runs. 

Asia Asset Finance pace man, Promod Fernando performed the 1st hat trick of the tournament (4-1-8-5), as he skittle Astron Lanka for a mere 24 runs in 8.5 overs ; the game only lasted 13 overs. 

One drop batsman, Nuwan Tharanga scored a useful 89 runs in 69 balls, inclusive of 04 sixes & 12 fours, which enabled Virtusa to beat Mast Far East by 47 runs. 

Medium Pacer, Janak Silva snapped up 05 wickets for 14 runs in 5.2 overs to give Regnis Lanka a 28 runs win over Amana Bank. 

A solid opening stand of 116 runs in 95 balls between Shan Nilaksha (71) and Sudarshana Wickramasinghe (50) and fine spell of bowling by Hashan Kumara (5.4/36/5) helped Brandix Essentials to snatch a 08 runs win over Trellerborg Lanka.
