The CEAT Racing Team continued its strong showing on Sri Lanka’s motor racing circuits, with seven podium finishes in the six races it competed in at the Cavalry Supercross at Pangolla.
Riding ace Gayan Sandaruwan took first place in two races (Group MX - Motorcross Bikes up to 125 cc-2T and up to 250 cc-4T) and was adjudged Champion Rider at the meet, while W.A.G Rangana won the Group SL-A-Cars up to 1050cc event. Lt. Col. Duminda Jayasinghe was first runner-up in the Group SL-N Ford Laser/Mazda 1500 cc race, and Nishan Wasalathanthri and W.A.G Rangana secured first runner-up and second runner-up positions in the Group SL-S up to 1500 cc race. Nishan Wasalathanthri also finished second Runner-up at the SL-N-Cars-Ford Laser/Mazda 1300 cc event.
The CEAT Racing Team comprises drivers Nishan Wasalathanthri, W.A.G Rangana, Kamil Hussein and Lt.
Colonel Duminda Jayasinghe and rider Gayan Sandaruwan. The drivers on the team use CEAT radial tyres exclusively at all tarmac events that they race in, in cars bearing the distinctive CEAT livery.
