B.A. Sanjeewa continued his consistent form in the recent few months and secured a three-stroke advantage from Sisira Kumara, the overnight leader of the April edition of the Pin Fernando Grand Prix powered by CAT SOLAR, sponsored by United Tractor and Equipment Ltd.
The unrelenting Sanjeewa started the third round quietly, dropping a stroke on the third hole to take the turn at 1 over par, then bogeyed the 11th hole to be 2 over par. Then Sanjeewa fired on all cylinders to birdie the 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th to finish the third round 3 under par, for a 7 under par, 3 round total and a comfortable three-stroke lead going into the last round of the Pin Fernando Grand Prix April edition sponsored by CAT SOLAR, UTE, the regular sponsor of the monthly Grand Prix event, whose scores are counted for the World Amateur Golf rankings (WAGR).
In the junior division T. Akash maintained his consistency and continued to lead the junior field by four strokes over Armand Flamer Caldera who got closer by 2 strokes, promising a close finish in the junior category.
The final round of the CAT SOLAR PFGP April edition will conclude Friday, 7 April at the RCGC, Ridgeways Golf Course.
