KHULNA: West Indies were 564-4 at close on the third day of the second and final Test in Khulna on Friday, gaining a healthy 177-run lead over Bangladesh’s first innings total of 387.
Marlon Samuels led the way with an epic 260 while Shivnarine Chanderpaul (109) and Darren Bravo (127) also contributed as West Indies looked favourites to win the two-Test series. Denesh Ramdin was unbeaten on four.
The West Indies won the first Test in Dhaka by 77 runs.
