Colombo (Lankapuvath): Sri Lanka is second in the medal tally of the first South Asian Beach Games now being held at Hambantota with a total of 28 medals.
Hosts yesterday secured the 9th medal while India on top of has 11 medals. Sri Lanka has so far won 10 silver medals and 9 bronze medals. Sri Lanka on Thursday won gold medals in both men and women beach volleyball games.
Pakistan follows in the third place with a total of 11 medals with 5 gold medals to their credit.
India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, Afghanistan and Bhutan are the participating countries at the South Asian Beach games.
