Kandy Centre Dhanushka Ranjan will once again lead the Sri Lankan Sevens outfit at the Borneo Rugby Sevens, which will be worked off on 18 and 29 March in Malaysia.
The Sri Lankan team left to Malaysia two days ago.
The only two surprises with the squad are the return of Jason Dissanayake and the inclusion of Reza Rafaideen of Police SC. Rafaideen was picked over Nishon Perera of Havelock’s, which was a tough call, while Dissanayake, who left CR&FC for Kandy, was selected due to his fine performances last year at the Asian Sevens.
Kandy dominate the squad with six players. This will be Peter Wood's first assignment with the national Sevens outfit.
