Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) on wednesday announced the appointment of Reborn as the official clothing sponsor for Sri Lanka National Rugby Team at a media briefing held at Colombo Swimming Club, Colombo 3. Stafford Garments Industries Ltd., Manufacturers of Reborn Rugby Jerseys, for the first time joined hands with SLRFU by sponsoring the official clothing and kit for the rugby team (men and women). Reborn will not only provide jerseys for the National 15 a side rugby team but also for the sevens team. The agreement is valid for a period of three years. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Lanka Rugby Football Association President Asanga Seneviratne mentioned that it was a momentous occasion for Sri Lanka rugby. In its 100-year history, the SLRFU never had a merchandising partner to produce souvenirs and market and sell them to the general public. “It will enable the rugby fans to own replica jerseys. The partnership with Reborn is not just for a clothing partner, but it is a collaboration to promote Sri Lanka rugby and attract the crowds towards the game. The products are very satisfactory and quality is world class. Rugby is a fast growing sport in the country and we are happy about Reborn’s commitment to the development of rugby.” Stafford Garments Industries Ltd. Director Altaf Gaffoor said Reborn was proud to become the official sportswear partner for the Sri Lanka National 15 and seven teams. “It is a great moment for Reborn. We hope this partnership with SLRFU will be a long and fruitful one.”
