Trinity to field 2018 outfit against Peterites
Trinity College is expected to field their 2018 rugby outfit at the President’s Trophy rugby encounter against St. Peter’s College which will be worked off at the Sugathadasa Stadium today (10).
Kick-off is scheduled at 4 p.m.
Trinity who had a grand first round winning all their matches met with an unexpected defeat at the hands of the inconsistent Peterites. Moving forward they lost both the legs of their Bradby encounter, losing out in their confidence. The main reason behind their defeat was no proper forward coach being there to look after the lads. They were coached by Lote Raikabullah who is a world famous sevens player who looked after the three quarter line which dished out quality rugby.
The lads from Bambalapitiya too played good rugby but not in tandem. They have got one of the best three quarter lines but they missed out on their basics this season. They will be wanting to end the season in a grand way with a win at this knockout encounter under their Head Coach Colin Dinesh.

Isipathana clear favourites against Antonians
Defending President’s Trophy, Isipathana will be all out to end the season on top under their skipper Sumudu Rankothge when they lock horns against Plate winners this season, Katugastota Atnonians tomorrow (11) at Sugathadasa Stadium.
They had a good League season losing out only to Trinity 15/10 in a tense thriller which made them settle for number 2 behind Royal.
Skipper Rankothge, scrum half Harith Bandara and Chamod Fernando could play vital roles to take them through in this tournament. For the Katugastota lads skipper Amarasinghe and Moahmed Shabeer will hold the key.
