Prasanna Jayawardene returns to attend father’s funeral

Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday announced with profound sadness the demise of Sisira Terence Jayawardene father of Test Cricketer Prasanna Jayawardene.
Prasanna who was to play in the 1st Test against Bangladesh which began yesterday, returned to the country to attend to the funeral. In the absence of Prasanna, Dinesh Chandimal took up gloves at yesterday’s Test and left-hand batsman Kithuruwan Vithanage replaced him in the eleven.
Prasanna’ residence is : 262, Circular Road, Araliya Uyana, Depanama, Pannipitiya.
