Lahore, (ANI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that he has no plans of changing Misbah ul Haq as the captain of the national team.

“We did not decide about the selection of the captain,” The Nation quoted him, as saying.

Ashraf also stressed that Pakistan is a safe country for hosting international cricket and promised to provide a head-of-state like security for visiting countries.

His comments came ahead of the announcement of the squad for the Sri Lankan tour

Younus Khan had earlier reportedly expressed a desire to lead the team if the board offered him the job, while coach Dav Whatmore had backed Shoaib Malik as the Twenty20 skipper after monitoring his captaincy skills during the recently-concluded National Twenty20 Cup.
