Oman Air sponsors Mercantile Netball Association team

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, sponsored the Mercantile Netball Association (MNA) team that participated in the Inter Association Netball Championships held in Kurunagala, recently. The Mercantile Netball Association Team was crowned Champions of both the Ladies and Mixed divisions at the recently concluded tournament conducted by The Netball Federation of Sri Lanka.

The team was represented by 5 Sri Lanka National Players and beat the State Services team by 63-49 at the finals of the Ladies event. The Mixed team beat the State Services team in evenly contested finals by 12-11. Gaya Jayaweera of MNA won the Best Shooter award at the finals, while Kumarini De Silva won the Best Defense award and Jayaliya Kumari won the award for the Best Center Court Player.
