Trinity College opening bat and Sri Lankan youth player Nushan Weerasinge completed 1000 runs for the season, in the second innings of their match against Maris Stella, Negombo which was concluded last weekend.
Nushan, who scored three centuries against Royal College, St. Benedicts College and De Mazenod, is the second Trinity batsman to score the magical mark. First to reach 1000 runs was Dilan Jayalath. Trinity will play their 99th Big Match against St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota at the Asgiriya Stadium on 11 and 12 March.
