During his extended stay in Colombo, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key visited the Royal Colombo Golf Club and was warmly welcomed by RCGC President Fredrick Jehan de Saram, Captain Ranil Pieris, Vice Captain Primal Wijayanayake, General Manager Lasantha de Silva and the committee members and management of RCGC.
The Prime Minister teed off on a breezy Friday afternoon which offered ideal weather for a round of golf.
Key, an avid golfer with brilliant stroke play, was accompanied by RCGC Captain Ranil Pieris, who played alongside him.
Founded over 130 years ago, the Royal Colombo Golf Club is the second oldest royal golf club outside the United Kingdom.
