Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) Secretary Nazeem Mohamed resigned from his position as President of the Western 
Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU).
WPRFU appointed Senior Vice President of the Union Hafeez Marso as the new President.
Marso, who represented Zahira College in football and rugby, later on not only represented Police in rugby but also led the team. He was an automatic choice for Sri Lanka in the longer version of the game.
