Nations Trust Bank American Express golf extravaganza tees off on Saturday

The Annual Nations Trust Bank American Express Golf Extravaganza 2015 is scheduled to tee off on Saturday 21 February at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. The tournament will be conducted by the RCGC according to established rules in line with club. Two tournaments will be conducted for the categories – Men’s, Ladies and Masters/Seniors. The morning tournament will commence on a shotgun start at 7 a.m. followed by the afternoon tournament which will also commence on a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Given that the two tournaments being conducted on Saturday, a total of 240 golfers will participate in the morning and afternoon sessions. The tournament will be conducted in the following categories – Men’s-Group A Handicap (0 – 9), Group B Handicap (10 – 18), Group C Handicap (19 – 28), Masters/Seniors Handicap (0 – 28), Ladies Handicap (0 – 36). Handsome prizes await the overall winner whilst Group and Team prizes will also be awarded. There will also be special prizes awarded to Nations Trust Bank customers as well as American Express card members who participate in the tournament. Proceedings will conclude with extravagant entertainment and fellowship on Saturday evening that will comprise performances from the musical sisters Umara and Umaria, Antoinette Wheelan, Magic Box Mixup and the comedy, the Lost Golfer by Pasan Ranaweera and Asanka Sahabandu. The Nations Trust Bank American Express Golf Extravaganza is a key event in the bank’s corporate calendar and is expected to deliver an exciting day of golf for all participants, the majority of whom are customers of the bank.
