The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) will begin the Under-18 Milo Schools Rugby competition in Colombo today.
The tournament was initially scheduled to commence last Friday but was postponed because the SLSRFA Organising Committee placed last year’s winners Isipathana and runners-up S. Thomas’ Mount Lavinia in the wrong groups.Meanwhile, the Kandy group matches were played last Friday at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekelle. St. Anthony’s beat Maliyadeva 36-15 while Dharmaraja outclassed Vidyartha 26-0. Trinity received a walkover as their opponents St. Sylvester’s College failed to make it to the venue. Due to injuries to several of their players, St. Sylvester’s will pull out of this tournament.
