Medhira Samarasinghe bags 3 titles at SSC Tennis Championships

Reigning National Mix Doubles Champions Medhira Samarasinghe and Sanka Atukorala teamed up to beat Amritha Muttiah and Yasitha De Silva 3-6 6-3 6-3 in a closely fought Open Mixed Doubles finals at the SSC Open Tennis Tournament played at Maitland Place, Colombo.

In the previous day,Medhira partnered her FedCup and South Asian Games team mate Amritha and cruised to a 6-0 6-2victory over ShaliniDe Silva and ShenalieWeerasekera in the Open Women’s Doubles finals.

Earlier in the tournament Medhira beat Anika Seneviratne in 3 sets in the Girls Under 18 finals and finished the Championships with 3 titles..
