Maris Stella wins Zahira Super 16 Soccer 7’s football crown

Maris Stella College Negombo became the champions of the 11th edition of the Zahira Super 16 Soccer 7’s football tournament, held on 17 October at the Zahira Grounds, by beating Royal College Colombo in a nail-biting final which went all the way down to a penalty shootout after full time ended goalless.

Football Federation of Sri Lanka President Anura De Silva graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest and main sponsors Pyramid Wilmar’s Director Hashim Omar was the Chief Guest during the evening session. Zahira College Principal Trizviiy Marikar, Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed and many distinguished invitees attended the final session.
