Colombo Rugby Football Club (CR &FC) will have the former Australian born former Scottish Centre, Ben Macdougall as their Head Coach for the CR outfit in 2016/2017 rugby season. Their main aim will be to end on top this year around in the league and the knock out encounters.
Last season CR & FC under Inthi Marikar’s coaching Longdon Place club ended as number 3 in the League while runner-up in the Knock out finals was a great achievement given a young outfit. Inthi was well supported by former Isipathana flanker Shamly Nawaz and Zahirian Mohamed Mushthaq as his deputy. Former Peterite Ishan Noor led the outfit.
Ben switched from Rugby League after playing for six years to Rugby Union with Edinburgh. He was with the Peterite outfit few years back before quitting half way.
CR & FC will be led by former Wesley player Shane Shammandaperuma for their rugby season in 2016/2017 with Ravi Goonaratne continuing as the President of the Longdon Place club.
