LionsRoar cricket game officially launched for Sri Lanka cricket fans!

  With the launch of the 2015 Cricket World Cup on 14 February, a Sri Lankan game development team had been busy over the past few months to present something special for cricket crazy fans. With a six-member team, GTS (http://games.lk), popularly known as the pioneers of gaming in Sri Lanka have successfully created a unique Sri Lankan cricket game titled ‘LionsRoar’. The game was launched on 14 February so that fans would get an additional reason to cheer on that day. How does the game work? The user would be able to play as the Sri Lankan cricket team and play against the top seven cricketing nations who will also be featured in the 2015 Cricket World Cup. The user can play some lovely realistic cricketing shots in the game and with each shot be able to see some eye-catching comic type graphics that has never been seen before. Keeping the gameplay intense, user is able to play 5,10,15 overs and try to gather or chase the runs scored by the opposition. In order to encourage multiple plays and to create competitiveness, the leaderboard will keep track of the highest scores. Best #LionsRoar gamers listed on leaderboard: The top five scorers of each tournament (5, 10, 15 overs) will also be mentioned on a weekly basis on Mirror Sports. Scores can be shared on the users’ Facebook wall as well as encourage his/her friends to also play the game. nPC/Mac: A standalone executable version would also be available for those interested in playing on their PC and Mac. In-game advertising opportunities are available to expose brands in a unique digital media marketing manner. GTS (Gamos Technology Solutions) is a Sri Lankan game development studio located in Dehiwala, Sri Lanka. Formed in 2007, the company has primarily worked on mobile games, most notably the ‘Colombo Ride’ game series which is the first Sinhala mobile game to be created. The second instalment, Colombo Ride 2.0 won ‘best in South Asia’ at the mBillionth awards held in New Delhi, India in 2010. The third instalment, Colombo Ride 3D won a top 5 nomination at Mashable Awards 2010 but lost to vividly popular Angry Birds mobile game by Rovio.
