Sri Lanka Cricket opened a new indoor cricket facility yesterday in Pallekele to help with the team’s training. Skipper Angelo Mathew will join the training camp in Pallekelle today while Lasith Malinga will join the Sri Lanka team in England, flying in from India following the conclusion of the Indian Premier League.
Sri Lanka will play two warm-up games against Scotland. There will be two more warm-up games scheduled by the ICC as well before the tournament gets underway next month. Sri Lanka are pooled alongside South Africa, India and Pakistan and will take on South Africa on 3 June at the Oval.
