Land Rover and Cantaloupe Aqua hosted Jeremy Bolling, for a grand finale in Talpe as he concluded his history making circumnavigation of Sri Lanka. Jeremy’s journey ended roughly at around 1 p.m. near the historic Galle fort ramparts when he beached his GP-14 sailboat for the final time. The entire SaiLanka team and many locals greeted Jeremy with national flags and fireworks. The adventure, which took a month and a half to complete, was a resounding success through the sheer dedication of Jeremy and his team. Land Rover, who was the main sponsor of SaiLanka, was on hand to bring Jeremy ashore and escort him to Cantaloupe Aqua for a felicitation and finale. The evening included Jeremy receiving a plaque from the President of the Ceylon Motor Yacht Club for his extraordinary journey and bringing sailing to the forefront. “This is a very exciting partnership for Land Rover and SaiLanka, both brands share core values of going beyond the realms of the ordinary.  We are looking forward to supporting SaiLanka in the years to come with the notion of One Ocean, One Nation, One Adventure!,” said SML Frontier Automotive Managing Director Sheran Fernando. “This venture was accomplished by a group of like-minded folks who exemplified team-work. Land Rover and the SaiLanka team were always on board and that was the key to this great achievement. My congratulations to each and every one who took part,” said Tara Bolling (Jeremy’s mother). The finale concluded with an after party and a special fashion show by Arugam Bay beachwear. Land Rover also showcased the brand new Range Rover Sport at Cantaloupe Aqua with Jeremy’s GP14 Sailboat in the background. The crowd in attendance had the opportunity to see two marvellous feats of engineering together on land and sea.
