Defending League and Clifford Cup champions, Kandy Sports Club will kick off their defending of the Knock out championship when they host CH & FC at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium on 13 March.
Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) allows using neutral grounds but the visiting team had no issues in playing at Nittawela. Due to this the travelling and other expenses will be paid by host team, Kandy Sports Club.
The other quarter final encounters which will be worked off from 11-13 March and the venue will be the Race Course Rugby Grounds. Havies will battle it out with the Air Force outfit. Third placed CR & FC will play the Solders and the last quarter final will be between Police and the Navy.
The two semi-finals will be worked off on 19 and 20 March with one game in Kandy and the other in Colombo. The Kandy game will take place at the Trinity College Rugby Grounds at Pallekelle. Very likely Kandy will meet the winner’s of the Police and Navy encounter.
The final is scheduled for 27 March in Colombo.
