Kandy outclass Police

By ShamseerJaleel Kandy Sports Club continued its winning form for four matches in a row when it outclassed the Police Sports Club by 46 points (4 goals, 3 tries, 1 penalty) to 19 points (2 goals, 1 try) win at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium. At the short breather Kandy led 10-5. Kandy SC player Buwanka udangamuwa on attack with support coming his way from Lavanga Perera   Kandy Sports Club playing their second home game this season took time to settle down. In the initial half, some aimless kicking by both Nigel Ratwatte and Lavanga Perera resulted in some good try scoring opportunities being missed. It took almost 22 minutes for Kandy to score their first points. After settling down late in the first half Kandy dominated the second half by scoring five more tries to score a convincing bonus point win. Kandy SC took the field without their star winger Anurudha Wilwara, who is nursing an injury. Lavanga Perera (3), Oscar Ouma, Mohamed Ali, Chris Colette and Quinton Crocker scored for Kandy. Scrum Half Roshan Weeraratne put over a penalty plus three conversions while Fazil was on target with one kick. For the Police SC, Heshan Gunaratne, Apisai Naqaliva, and Kenyan Fillimoni Seru scored the tries. Apisai and Lakshan were on target with one kick at goal.
