Kanchana and Dhanushka join Kandy SC

Former Trinitian, Kanchana Ramanayake and Peterite Dhanushka Ranjan both will wear the Kandy jersey in the 2015/2016 rugby season which will kick off in late October 2016.

Former Peterite, Dhanushka Ranjan being a top class player after leaving school played for the Park Club since then. Being probably the best centre in the county at present with his powerful run and a very strong defender as well. He is an automatic choice for the national sevens and fifteens outfit.

Meanwhile Kanchana Ramanayake who played for the Up Country Lions and then CR & FC will return to his home town. Kanchana could fit in for either centre or winger’s position but will need to work hard to find his permanent place in the strong Kandy line up next season.

Dhanushka already signed the contract while Kanchana will sign his contract in the near future.
