Junior hockey in Matale

The Inter school all Island Under 15 boys and girls hockey championships for 2015 conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association along with the Matale Schools Hockey Association is being worked off from 27 to 31 October in Matale. Already more than 50 schools have confirmed participation at this mega-annual event in the hockey crazy city of Matale. The venues are the Bernard Aluvihare Stadium and the Edward Park hockey grounds in Matale.

The following schools have confirmed participation: Sri Sumangala BV, Panadura, Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Panadura Balika Vidyalaya, St. Anthony’s Girls College, Kandy, Pushpadana Girls College, Sangamittha Balika Vidyalaya, Christ Church College, Matale, Yasodara Vidyalaya, Visakha Vidyalaya, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Samudra Devi Vidyalaya, Swarnamali BV, Kandy, Musaeus College and St. Joseph’s BV, Kegalle have already confirmed in Girls segment. 

The Boys’ category will see D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo, Maris Stella College, Negombo, St. Thomas College, Matale, Christ Church College, Vijaya College, Ananda College, St. Peter’s College, Nalanda College, Dharmaraja College, Kingswood College, Vidyartha College, St. Sylvester’s College, Dharmadutha College and St. Aloysius College.
