Former Isipathana College, Police SC and Sri Lanka fly half and one of the leading referees, Nizam Jamaldeen, was appointed as the President of the Sri Lanka Referees Society at their Annual General meeting (AGM) which took place last weekend in Colombo.
Jamal will have two veterans, former Antonian skipper Tuan Dole and Mahinda Jayawardena, as his Vice Presidents. Another leading referee Dinka Peiris will be the secretary of the society. The Referees Society was reactivated after the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) Interim Committee took control over a year ago.
