India seized the initiative in the third Test at Mohali against Australia on Friday.
Australia after opting to bat first added 139 runs for the opening wicket between David Warner and Ed Cowan. But thereafter there was a mini-collapse as Australia ended the day at 273 for seven.
All-rounder Steve Smith on 58 and Mitchell Starc (20) were at the crease when stumps were drawn.
For India, Ravindra Jadeja with three wickets and Ishant Sharma with a late burst of two wickets were the best bowlers.
