India U-23 beats Pakistan to win the Asian Cricket Council Cup

K.L. Rahul, the opener, smashed 93 not out off 107 balls to lead India Under-23 to an emphatic nine-wicket win over Pakistan Under-23 in the final of the Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup in Singapore on Sunday (25 August). Pakistan, who chose to bat, were bowled out for 159 in 47 overs at the Kallang ground, with India taking only 33.4 overs to chase the target down and lift the title. Manprit Juneja, who hit 51 not out in an unbroken 132-run stand for the second wicket, proved an able ally for Rahul in an easy chase for India.
