The ever popular HSBC 5-Club Stableford Golf Tournament 2012 teed off at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) over the last weekend.
Held for the 18th successive year, the event saw over 250 golfers of all abilities in the men’s, ladies and seniors categories, swing any five clubs on the course to be adjudged the best players of this prestigious tournament.
After a very close competition, winners were announced at a special awards ceremony and lunch held at the Club House with HSBC Premier, Corporate customers and RCGC members in attendance.
The best HSBC Premier golfers for 2012, under the two main categories were Noordeen Sethwala and A. Jafferjee and the overall HSBC 5 Club Stableford Challenge trophy was won by Noordeen Sethwala.
The two best HSBC Premier golfers were each awarded with a fully sponsored travel, accommodation and hospitality package to China to play at the regional HSBC Golf Day in Dongguan, China at Mission Hills, on the Olazabal course on 5 November 2012.
They will also have the opportunity to witness legendary PGA golfers in action at the grand finale of the World Golf Championship – HSBC Champions 2012 on 4 November 2012.
