Harsha together with vice captain Sahan Hendawitharana (44) shared a 103 run partnership for the sixth wicket before he was stumped by wicket keeper A. Madhusanka off the bowling of Dilshan Maduranga for 115. Rukshan Gunawardena (44) and Kalana Hasnaga (36) made useful contributions. Left arm leg spin bowler Kasun Tharaka 4/111 and Dilshan Maduranga 3/36 were the wicket takers for the visitors. Harsha opening the bowling for Rahula grabbed two wickets in the third over of the game to have the Kularathne team in a spot of trouble at 8/2 but opener Malisha Harshajeewa unbeaten on 21 and No 4 batsman Sachin Hiran unbeaten on 6 took the total to 37/2 at the close of play on day one.
