Five in a row for Talawakelle Tea Estates

By Shamseer Jaleel Talawakelle Tea estates PLC continued their winning streak at the Inter-Plantations Championship which took place at the Dickoya Maskeliya Cricket Club in Darawala. Out of the 21 plantation companies 14 of them took part in it. Talawakelle Tea estates beat Kelani Valley (28-0), Namunukula (52-0), Bogowantalawa (36-0) and in the final they beat Malwatta Valley (38-5). They scored 154 points with only one try scored against them in the whole tournament, which also stands as a record at this plantation tournament history. Former Trinitian Gotabaya Mahesh was judged as the player of the tournament.
