FIFA suspends Nigeria from international football

BERNE (Reuters) - FIFA suspended Nigeria from international football Monday because of government interference in the sport, the world governing body said in a statement.

“The FIFA Emergency Committee decided today...to suspend the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) with immediate effect on account of government interference,” FIFA said.
