Reuters: Ferrari have extended their longstanding sponsorship deal with tobacco company Philip Morris International to the end of 2015, the Formula One team said on Tuesday.

Philip Morris owns the Marlboro brand, the Italian team’s title sponsor.

Ferrari are the only Formula One team who still have cigarette backing, although the branding is no longer displayed on the cars due to anti-tobacco advertising legislation.

The sport’s most successful team removed a controversial barcode livery in May last year after suggestions it represented subliminal advertising for Marlboro.
