Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the provider of ultrafast fibre optic, was proud to announce that the company will be powering the latest in cyber games, SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games organised by Gamer.lk. The SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games, the first-ever eSports event organised solely for female contestants, will be held at Colombo City Centre between 20 and 21 April.
This is specifically designed and organised to encourage and motivate more women gamers to get involved in eSports. The inaugural competition of women’s cyber games has seen the registration of over 200,000 contestants so far. It comprises of a total prize pool of Rs. 100,000 to be given away to the top eight winners.
SLT has been an ardent supporter of eSports, having successfully organised several eSports championships in the past to uplift eSports in Sri Lanka. The SLT eSports Women’s Cyber Games will be powered by SLT’s robust, reliable as well as ultrafast broadband connectivity provided through fibre technology. SLT broadband has been well known for its low-latency and highest speeds of over 100 mbps.
