With the 2011 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in the offing, E FM formally launched a new on-air promotion called the Name Game on the Morning Showgram on the 8th of August.
This is the third year that E FM will be sending two lucky listeners to Singapore to watch the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, proving once again that the station is committed to empower lifestyles with its quality programming and on-air campaigns.
E FM has always been geared towards growth and entertainment, and the Name Game promo combines these attributes with its commitment to reward its growing listenership. To participate in the Name Game, listeners are asked to call the station’s hotline to register when they hear the cue to call.
The station would call back lucky registrants and they will be asked to provide the first names of well-known people and celebrities within a given time frame. The highest scorers would advance into the final phase of the competition where they will race Go Karts to win the grand prize.
The station will award the 2 winners of the F1 promo with pit grandstand tickets to the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. The winners will also receive return air tickets and 4-Days/3-Nights hotel accommodation. Winners will also have access to watch and be entertained by Grammy award-winning acts scheduled to perform at F1 Rocks. This year Linkin Park is said to headline F1 Rocks together with Shakira, Shaggy, Rick Astley, Massive Attack, Charice, and other international acts.
Last year, Mithun Liyanage and Vinu Mendis, who placed first and second respectively, had the chance to experience the thrill of the F1 night races and were able to watch the F1 masters live in action. Besides the grand prize, Liyanage also took home a 32” LCD TV.
The 2011 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of September at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Since its launch, E FM is known for its lifestyle empowering promotions and campaigns.
The station is also known to give away sizable prizes to its listeners including all-expenses-paid trips to Singapore to watch music legends in concert like Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Carlos Santana. It was in 2009 that the station had its first-ever Formula 1 promotion.
