Dialog Rugby Club 7’s 2017 kicks off this weekend

• Dialog powers premier Sevens tourney for 5th year

 There is set to be fast-paced Sevens rugby action this June as the top eight clubs in Sri Lanka battle it out for supremacy, at the Dialog Club 7’s 2017 on 10 June at the Racecourse International Stadium from 12.30 p.m. onwards. 

A total of eight clubs have confirmed their participation, comprising Havelock SC, Peterson SC, CR & FC, CH & FC, Police SC, Army SC, Navy SC and Air Force FC. They will look to fight for top honours at this year’s Dialog Rugby Club 7’s. The games will be played on 10, 11, 17 and 18 June at the Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo.    

This is Dialog’s fifth year in association with the shorter format of the game, which has a huge following among the young and old in Sri Lanka. At last year’s competition, Kandy put on a scintillating performance to run away as champs, despite a strong performance from their opponents Havelock.

Dialog is closely associated with developing cricket, rugby, club football, volleyball and disabled sports and has sponsored national contingents to international events including the Paralympics.
